Outdoors = Healthy

In a world where we spend our days in a controlled environment, where it seems that 72 degrees is "perfect" and being "real" is not, perhaps we have lost sight of reality.

Have you ever wondered why some people just stay healthier than others? While there are tons of variables, I think the most obvious one we usually miss is this: being outdoors improves your health (both physical and mental!)


When is the last time you took a hike that went further than your mailbox? When was the last time you went camping, or made a snowman, or picked your own flowers? When people spend time outdoors they are usually healthier than those who stay inside all the time.

The goal of this blog is to encourage you to GET OUTDOORS! 



We will be writing about places to go outdoors (especially family-and-budget-friendly ones!) We have several favorite outdoor places around the midwest, and we want to share them with you.

We will be sharing photos of great things you might find outdoors, as well as some tips about getting and staying healthy. Our goal is to motivate you to take charge of your health. Hopefully you will be encouraged to make healthy choices every day.
